Ladies, and especially moms, this is for you.
As you know, our DNA is literally wired for nurture. Our guidance, compassion, and helpfulness make the world a better place and our kids functioning, caring adults.
But sometimes taking care of everything and everyone puts us in a box. A box of stale habits, wasted time, and limited growth for us and the people we serve.
Let the ones closest to you fail. Forgetting a lunch, gym clothes, or major project at home is not going to cause the death of our kids. Embarrassment and being uncomfortable may be the best time to forge better night-before habits.
Evaluate your business on data. Is Company X really your best client? The numbers should support your assumptions of who your best customers are. Because certain companies rely on you, doesn’t mean they are an ideal customer or even an acceptably producing one.
I love that our natural instinct is to care and fix problems. Just make sure it’s in balance and not hindering your growth as a person, mother, or businessperson.
